Plymouth Town Hall Teams Up Against Hunger
The ladies at the Plymouth Town Hall took it upon themselves to raise food for the hungry.
It is truly amazing what a few people can contribute to the community by reaching out. We have large groups, like the Postal Drivers and small groups like folks at a birthday gathering who have chosen to support the Food Resources Program at SSCAC. If you are a member of a club, an office or a neighborhood please think about joining people like Judy and Amy. Food drive materials and information is available by calling 508-747-7575 or sending and email by clicking here.
If you would like to support the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse, a monetary donation can be sent to SSCAC at 265 South Shore Meadow Road, Plymouth MA 02360. Please reference Food Program on the memo line. And thank you!
Entergy Employees Team Up Against Hunger
"It takes a village", but sometimes it’s just one or two people in a community or company who inspire others to make a difference in many lives. Judy Plummer and Amy Bouchard, pictured in the yellow shirts, work for Entergy. They were just the spark needed to rally the Entergy employees to team up and support the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse. Accepting their generous check for $750.00 is Lisa Spencer, Energy Director at South Shore Community Action Council, Beth Thompson, Food Resources Manager, Kathy Blazejewski, staff member and Food Warehouse Volunteers.

Plymouth family copes with job loss, struggling business and ill 5-year-old
Like many people, Anne-Marie and William Nickerson have seen their comfortable life crumble during the recession. But their financial challenges pale in comparison to the situation the Plymouth couple faces now. In July, just days after they watched their energetic 5-year-old son Cody play on a beach, a doctor diagnosed the boy with a serious blood disease and sent him immediately to Tufts Medical Center.
