HomeCorps Borrower Recovery Initiative
Addressing the foreclosure crisis is one of the most important things we can do to restore a healthy economy.
SSCAC’s HomeCorps Borrower Recovery Initiative helps those who have lost their homes to foreclosure with finding new housing, financial assistance, and family stabilization resources. Contact the HomeCorps Hotline at the Attorney General’s Office – 617-573-5333.
How we can help
Funded by the Attorney General’s Office, the HomeCorps Borrower Recovery Initiative is a statewide network of non-profit service providers working to help borrowers who have lost their home to foreclosure. Through SSCAC’s HomeCorps Borrower Recovery services, foreclosed homeowners can receive:
- help searching for new housing
- up to $2,000 assistance with moving expenses, including 1st/last month’s rent, payment toward utility arrearage, and/or eligible moving costs
- information and referrals for other community-based supports to help stabilize foreclosed families
- ongoing case management and follow-up support
