Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistant -37.50 hrs./School Year

Core Responsibilities:
Daily assistance in the kitchen under the guidance of the Cook Manager to facilitate all required USDA meals and snacks. Assistance with the monthly inventory , and assistance with food bank coordination. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned. Must be very dependable and able to work under pressure. Must be availiable to substitute over the summer.

Core Qualifications:
Valid MA drivers license in good standing. SERVESAFE certification is
Helpful, although not required. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
Food Service background and knowledge of allergy standards is helpful.
Must have a HISET, GED/or High School Diploma
Bi-lingual in Portuguese or Spanish is helpful, although not required.

All candidates must have a current medical certificate, MMR Documentation, TB test, statements of CORI/Background check with SORI & fingerprints upon hire and employment application (available on SSCAC website) prior to beginning employment. Positions are open until a suitable candidate is found.
