Chief Executive Officer
The South Shore Community Action Council, Inc., with a $30 million plus annual budget and approximately 200+ employees, is seeking candidates for Chief Executive Officer. This critical position is highly visible and requires strategic thinking and sound management experience. The CEO will be an empathetic, influential, and energetic leader with sound business and financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and strong collaborative capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with entrepreneurial instincts and a strong perspective about SSCAC’s mission. The candidate will have knowledge in finance, operations, grant writing, fundraising, and marketing, as well as a national and regional perspective about our clientele’s needs that can be applied to future agency strategies and opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
The CEO will report to and work closely with an engaged governing Board of Directors. The CEO is responsible for leading a senior management team of Directors and a staff across seven locations. Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the corporation in accordance with program standards, maintain compliance with applicable state & federal laws and regulations. Develop short and long-term objectives for the agency. Oversee development strategies for fundraising to maintain existing financial support partners and generate new funding streams.
Core Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
Minimum BA/BS in non-profit management, business management, or related field. 10+ years of related supervisory/executive experience. Experience in the daily operations of a multi service agency, preferably a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Successful history of community involvement including engagement with a wide variety of public & private stakeholders. Experience in maintaining program compliance with state & federal laws and regulations, and funding source restrictions. Marketing, public relations & fundraising experience preferred.
Candidates must undergo a background check that includes a CORI/SORI/BRC fingerprint, according to regulatory standards.
Salary and background check:
$175,000 /minimum annual salary/exempt position; salary is commensurate with experience. Candidates must undergo a background check that includes a CORI/SORI/BRC fingerprint, according to regulatory standards.
