South Shore Early Education, a program of South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands, seeks a substitute, Kitchen Assistant- approximately 15-18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, no benefits apply, other than holidays and MA state sick leave.
POSITION: 15-18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:
Daily kitchen assistance under the Cook Manager's guidance to facilitate all required USDA food service. Assist with inventory tracking. Meal assistance and other various duties as assigned. Candidate must be very dependable and able to work under pressure.
Core Qualifications:
SERVESAFE certification is helpful, although not required. Food Service background and knowledge of allergy standards is helpful. Must have a HISET, GED/or High School Diploma. Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish is helpful, although not required.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

· Must be able to speak and understand English.
· Valid MA state driver’s license; DCF background check
· References will be required upon hire
