South Shore Community Action Council – a private non-profit in Plymouth, providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, and the Cape and Islands. South Shore Early Education, a preschool with a student population of approximately 225 infant/toddler through preschool students in Plymouth, seeks a full-time School Nurse 37.50 hrs. per week, 52 wks. per year. All benefits apply. No nights, no weekends, and exclusive of approved holidays. Salary is commensurate with experience, licenses, and education. Schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Base hourly rate $25.67/hr. non-exempt position.

The Head Start School Nurse is a compassionate, organized, and energetic professional who helps keep our children healthy, safe, and ready to learn. This role is all about connecting with children, families, staff, and community partners—while leading the health services component of the site with confidence and care.
### What You’ll Do
- Be a friendly, trusted health presence for children, families, and staff.
- Keep health records organized and up to date, including screenings, immunizations, follow-ups, and data tracking(details matter!).
- Partner with families to support healthy habits, answer questions, and connect them with helpful resources.
- Collaborate with teachers, family advocates, administrators, and community health providers as part of a strong, supportive team.
- Coordinate health screenings, referrals, and follow-up care with community partners.
- Promote wellness, safety, and infection control throughout the program.
- Participate in team meetings and planning conversations focused on the whole child.

Core Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements for employment:
·      All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable;
before beginning employment.
·      RN Desired, LPN accepted
·      Date of posting 1/20/26 deadline to apply 1/29/26, or until suitable candidate found.
·      Valid MA state driver’s license.
·      Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to apply, and speak and understand English.
