South Shore Early Education, a program of South Shore Community Action Council – a private, non-profit organization in Plymouth - provides multi-level program support on the South Shore, including Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands. We are seeking a full-time School Nurse at our Plymouth location. All company benefits apply, no nights, no weekends. Salary is commensurate with experience, licenses, and education.
POSITION: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:
RN preferred, LPN considered, preferably with at least two years of direct clinical experience, ideally in pediatrics. Strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask in an often-challenging environment. Solid assessment skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with community partners. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsible for direct management of the health component of the site, inclusive of dental, health, nutritional assessments, and implementation of current ACF and State EEC health regulations. Maintaining health records and data tracking, including the immunization survey. Monitors confidentiality practices and policies. Business travel amongst locations required, business travel will be reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate.
Core Qualifications:
Desired qualification: RN (LPN considered) with experience in pediatrics. Medical certificate, TB test, and proof of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella before beginning employment. Statement of no record – CORI, DCF, SORI, and FINGERPRINT. First Aid/CPR. Minimum 18 years of age. Must be able to speak and understand English.
