South Shore Early Education, a program of South Shore Community Action Council, is a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape Cod, and the Islands. We are seeking a full-time preschool Teacher Assistant for our new state-of-the-art facility in Wareham.

POSITION: 37.50 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Core Responsibilities:

Develop and implement daily lessons & curriculum plans using creative curriculum. Assist the Teacher to create and maintain a safe and healthy physicalenvironment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development ofstudents. Perform assistant teaching activities that align with the EEC and Head Start Performance Standards regulations. Meal assistance, Bus Monitoring, and other various activities as assigned.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
No nights or weekends, salary commensurate with licenses, degree, and experience, excellent employee benefits package, paid employee lunch break, and in-service training. Base pay rate $21.19/hr. with EEC certification, $21.31/hr.with CDA.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEC teacher certification required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood preferred, CDA considered. Must be able to speak and understand English.
Minimum Requirements for employment:
• All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check before beginning employment.

• Valid MA state driver’s license.• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
