South Shore Early Education, a program of South Shore Community Action Council, is a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape Cod, and the Islands. We are seeking a full-time preschool Teacher for our new state-of-the-art facility in Wareham.
POSITION: 37.50 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement daily lesson & curriculum plans using Creative Curriculum. Creates and maintains a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of students. Perform teaching activities that align with the Head Start Performance Standards regulations. Meal assistance, Bus Monitoring, and other various activities as assigned.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Base hourly rate with CDA-$24.36/hr., base hourly rate with AA/AS $25.37/hr., base hourly rate with BA/BS $27.40/hr.
Core Qualifications:
Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEC certification in Preschool is required. CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood (or related field) preferred. Must be able to speak and understand English. Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Arabic are helpful, although not required.
Minimum Requirements for employment:
• All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check before beginning employment.

• Valid MA state driver’s license.• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
