South Shore Early Education, a South Shore Community Action Council program - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape Cod, and the Islands, seeks a full-time Family Advocate, 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year at their Plymouth location. POSITION: 30 hours per week; 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:

Experience working with families, including setting goals and objectives & familiarity with outside referral agencies. Experience with Head Start/ Early Head Start Performance Standards is preferred. Must assist the families as they transition through the program to kindergarten. Must be able to adapt to the referral process within the program and work within the component. Demonstrated experience in licensed social work or caseworker experience. Familiarity and working knowledge of preschool-age children, including home visits with families of the program, is mandatory. Travel within will be required.

Core Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Social Work or a closely related field required. MA EEC Teacher Certification is helpful. Licensed social worker preferred. May substitute demonstrated caseworker experience of at least 5 years for LICSW. Must have a driver's license in good standing. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Bilingual in Portuguese,  Arabic, and Spanish preferred, although not required.
Minimum Requirements for employment:
·      All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check before beginning employment.
·      Date of posting 5/7/25, deadline to apply 5/15/25 or until a suitable candidate is found.
·      Valid MA state driver’s license.
·      Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
