South Shore Community Action Council (SSCAC) is a private nonprofit organization providing essential programs and services throughout the South Shore, Cape & Islands, and Wareham.

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Reception / File & Mail Clerk to join our Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) team at our Plymouth office.

HEAP is a federally funded program that helps eligible low- and moderate-income households with their winter home heating and utility costs. Your work will directly support a program that makes a meaningful difference for individuals and families in our community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CORE DUTIES

As a member of our HEAP team, you will provide important front-office and administrative support for this high-volume community assistance program.
**Your responsibilities will include:**
·      Welcome and assist clients in a professional and compassionate manner
·      Answer and direct telephone calls
·      Handle confidential information
·      Sort, date-stamp, file, and distribute incoming mail
·      Maintain organized paper and electronic files
·      Scan and upload documents
·      Perform copying, faxing, and other general office duties
·      Assist with day-to-day administrative needs of the HEAP program
·      Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
